Mark A. Stansberryis an international businessman, energy leader, and humanitarian from Edmond, Oklahoma. He is the founder and chairman of the GTD Group, author ofThe Braking Point: America's Energy Dreams and Global Economic Realities, host of The Weekly Roundtable radio show on KFAQ 1170 AM in Tulsa, and chairman of People to People International, a Kansas City-based nonprofit organization that promotes world peace through cultural education and understanding. With more than thirty-five years of direct experience in the energy industry, Stansberry has become a respected industry expert and media commentator on energy issues. He has testified before the US Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, appeared on national TV networks including CNN, and has been quoted in newspapers and magazines such asWall Street Journal Market Watch. Stansberry is a frequent guest on radio shows, publishes op-eds, and presents speeches throughout the United States and globally. In 1991 Stansberry coauthored an energy industry handbook,The Acquisition Process and Due Diligence: Minimize Risk/Maximize Return!In 2001 he cofounded an independent film production company with Academy Award-winning producer Gray Frederickson (The Godfather: Part II). Their most recent project is The GET (Grand Energy Transition), a documentary film about the future of energy based on the book by Oklahoma energy leader Robert A. Hefner III.
