Lt. Ray Biondi

Lt. Ray Biondi was born in Endicott, New York, in 1937 and grew up in Northern California. In 1960, he and his wife moved to Sacramento, where he worked as a deputy sheriff, a position that jump-started his successful and rewarding career in law enforcement. With over five hundred murder investigations under his belt, Biondi retired from a seventeen-year run as head of the homicide division of the Sacramento County Sherriff’s Department in 1993. Even after retirement, he consulted on numerous homicide cases across the country, including some FBI cases, investigating and performing psychological profiles of serial killers and mass murderers. It was Biondi’s dedication to the truth as well as his experience thriving under pressure that helped him write All His Father’s Sins and A Thirst for Blood.
