Lilith Saintcrow was born in New Mexico. She fell in love with writing in the second grade and has continued obsessively ever since. Saintcrow has penned more than twenty-five novels and is perhaps best known for her Dante Valentine and Jill Kismet series, as well as her current Hostage to Empire series, written as S. C. Emmett.
