Jon McCarthy

Born the son of a police officer in Tallahassee, Florida, Jon McCarthy began his public service as an active-duty member of the United States Coast Guard. After leaving the military, he entered the world of emergency medical services and has worked for 20 years as a paramedic. He is one of the architects of the New Orleans EMS Field Training Officer program and oversaw the program for five years. McCarthy spends his off days trying to write his way into the next chapter of his life.
