<p>Gurjinder Basran’s debut novel, <em>Everything Was Good-bye</em>, won the Search for the Great BC Novel Contest and the Ethel Wilson Fiction Award (BC Book Prize), and was selected as a <em>Chatelaine</em> book club pick. Basran studied creative writing at Simon Fraser University. She was born in England and moved to Canada with her family when she was a child. She lives in Delta, British Columbia, with her family.</p>
