Curt Liesveld
Curt Liesveld (1951-2015) served as a Learning and Development Senior Consultant at Gallup. As one of Gallup’ s most experienced coaches and educators, he counseled leaders and managers on how to increase individual, team and organizational performance through employee development. An expert on strengths-based performance coaching, Liesveld trained coaches who worked at client organizations, as independent consultants and within Gallup on best practices and strategies to maximize individual talents. He played a key role in developing and delivering the courses that constitute Gallup’ s certified strengths coaching program.
Liesveld shared his expertise on strengths development, coaching, team building and vision-casting with many different audiences, both in person and online, as a keynote speaker, presenter and writer. He appeared regularly as a strengths expert on _x201C_Theme Thursday,_x201D_ a Gallup webcast series focusing on each Clifton StrengthsFinder theme. Liesveld also shared strengths intelligence on a variety of social media platforms and on the Strengths Coaches’ Playbook, the Gallup Strengths Center’ s coaching blog. His insights on using strengths to increase performance also appeared in the <i>Gallup Business Journal</i>.
As coauthor of the book <i>Living Your Strengths</i>, Liesveld played a significant role in bringing a strengths-based focus to churches and faith-based organizations around the world. He was also the author of <i>Expanding Your Strengths</i>, an e-book about the unique and powerful insights individuals gain when they understand how their talent themes influence each other.
Liesveld earned his bachelor’ s degree in sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received master’ s degrees in divinity from Western Theological Seminary and in counseling psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
