Bill Bissell
Bill Bissell is the director of Performance at The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage. Bissell has been the editorial director for four of the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage's dance workbooks: "Braiding/Unbraiding/Rebraiding: Headlong Dance Theater examines artistic process in collaboration with Tere O'Connor," "Belonging and Solo: Roko Kawai, and artist's workbook" "Susan Foster: Three performed Solos," and "A Steady Pulse," "Restaging Lucinda Childs, 1963-1978." Wesleyan University Press published his newest book, "The Sentient Archive: Bodies, Performance, and Memory." He has received grants and fellowships from the Pittsburg Dance Council, National Endowment for the Arts, and Dance Critics Association.
