It’s a jungle in there . . . Hungry plants take over two brothers’ lives in this hilarious children’s book that was the basis for an off-Broadway musical.
Michael and his little brother Norman share a bedroom that’s become a battleground. Neat freak Norman can’t stand Michael’s mess—and neither can their mother. Drawing a line down the middle of the room is one way of keeping Michael’s dirty socks out of Norman’s space. But they’ll soon discover another way . . .
One day, Michael gets a package of two amazing beans that he ordered, but he can’t remember what kind of plants they’ll grow! To keep Norman from complaining about more clutter in their room, he gives him his own bean, and soon they’re in a race to see whose plant grows faster.
While Norman sticks to plant food, Michael experiments with bits of pizza, cookies, and even broccoli. His plant gets bigger and bigger. At the same time, his dirty socks start disappearing, something they won’t be able to hide from their parents for long.
The boys decide to investigate. And what they find is that both of their plants have an appetite for destruction . . .
