Volk

The Book of the Juke contains two novels of historical horror, Eutopia and Volk. The stories center around manmade evil—the eugenics experiments of the early 20th century in the U.S. and Germany—and an inexplicable being known as the Juke, which compels its human victims to worship it, even if it leads to their death.
