The Thunder and Lightning Series

The Thunder and Lightning Series begins with Red Thunder and chronicles the challenges of a group of young people who invent a homemade spaceship and beat the Chinese to Mars. Further volumes—Red Lightning, Rolling Thunder and Dark Lightning—are set mainly on Mars and expand upon the adventurous can-do philosophy laid out in the first novel.
