The Last Hawk

The Saga of the Skolian Empire, informally called the Skolian Saga, is a triumph of science fiction world-building. The series is comprised of a rich lode of novels, novellas, and short fiction set in an interstellar multi-planetary society known as the Skolian Empire, which is locked in a continuing power struggle against its enemy, the Eubian Concord. Catherine Asaro, awarded a PhD in chemical physics from Harvard University, drew on her wide knowledge of physics and mathematics to craft the underlayment of the Skolian Saga.
