In the Hall of the Martian King

Jak Jinnaka is a rakish young party animal who is being groomed to be a secret agent in the starflung civilization of the thirty-sixth century. He’s not exactly top-drawer material; in fact, his class has voted him “most likely to have a war named after him.”
In his adventures, Jak will face inscrutable aliens, duplicitous royals, looming interplanetary war, and much more, turning into a pragmatist with his heart in the right place and no regard for his own reputation. He will often be on the side of the good guys, but he’ll never be a classic hero—more of a likeable-despite-your-better-judgment rascal.
