Devil's Due

Ex-homicide detective Jazz Callendar and clandestine government agent Lucia Garza are hired to fulfill mysterious assignments that arrive in distinctive red envelopes. At first they're just doing a job--but gradually they discover they may be working for a sinister cabal whose goals are unclear but whose methods are far too bloodthirsty for Jazz and Lucia. But now that they know so much, how can they back away?
