Martin J. Smith is a veteran journalist and magazine editor, and also the author of both suspense novels and nonfiction books. His crime novels have been shortlisted for some of the publishing industry’s most prestigious honors, including the Edgar Award, the Anthony Award, and the Barry Award. Smith’s most recent nonfiction work, Going to Trinidad, was a finalist for a Colorado Book Award, and the award-winning documentary film The Million Dollar Duck is based on Smith’s 2012 book The Wild Duck Chase.
