A grimoire of collected manuscripts of the famous Elizabethan scientist and magus, documenting the complete Enochian system of magic.

Renaissance magician Dr. John Dee developed his groundbreaking system of Enochian ceremonial magic by channeling magic spirits through the body if his associate, Edward Kelly, and recording the results in a series of notebooks. While Dee received three entire systems of magic—planetary, zodiacal, and elemental—he never gathered them together into a single grimoire that would allow another magician to reproduce his ceremonies.

The Enochian Evocation does just that. It puts Dee’s magical work into a form similar to the books of magic that formed Dee’s prototypes, and includes all of Dee’s most important notebook, Sloane MS 3191, as well as the key material from related manuscripts. The result is a coherent and complete presentation of the Enochian system, along with all relevant magical elements, including two versions (original and corrected) of the famous Angelical Calls.

Enochian is reputed to be the most powerful of all the systems of magic and has greatly influenced the work of later occultists like Aleister Crowley, A.E. Waite, MacGregor Mathers, and Israel Regardie. While other texts have attempted to build on Dee’s work, The Enochian Evocation is the only book that presents Dee’s complete system of magic as he intended it to be practiced.
