Warwick Deeping
George Warwick Deeping is one of the bestselling authors of the 1920s and 1930s. After studying medicine and serving in the First World War, Deeping gave up his job as a doctor to become a full-time author. Though best known for his 1925 novel Sorrell and Son, his short fiction has appeared in several US magazines, and seven of his novels have made the bestseller list.
