Vincent Murano and Richard Hammer are the authors of The Dead File. Murano was a former New York City Police Detective whose undercover work helped expose corruption in the NYPD. Hammer was a two-time winner of the Edgar Award for "best fact crime" book for The Vatican Connection and The CBS Murders.
