Sydney Horler
Sydney Horler (1888–1954) is a British crime novelist. Born in Essex, he worked for newspapers in Bristol, Manchester, and London before becoming a full-time writer. Gaining popularity with the publication of his first novel, The Mystery of No.1, in 1925, he attained most of his commercial success after the serialization of his works in the News of the World. By the 1930s, Horler’s books had sold an estimated two million copies.
