A lifelong interest in cinema led Simon into the world of screenwriting. Three produced features and a tie-in novel later, he turned his attention to writing macabre tales and making short horror films.

Simon read Clive Barker and James Herbert when he was too young – which explains a lot – and cites the late, great Mo Hayder as a guiding light when writing the dark psychological thriller, Minotaur.
