Patrick Makin’s first job as a writer was as a war correspondent in Yemen, before he moved to Bristol and started working as script-editor for an animation production company. The Adventurous Kid’s Guide to the World’s Most Mysterious Places is his first book for children. He lives in Bristol, England.
