Meg Oolders
Meg Oolders writes tender, hopeful stories about young people falling in love—and figuring out who they are along the way. Her fiction is funny, emotionally brave, and full of heart. With a creative background in theater, music, and the culinary arts, Meg brings warmth and empathy to everything she writes. Her stories celebrate first love, big feelings, and the courage it takes to be seen.
After years of writing in private, Meg began sharing her work publicly in 2022 through her newsletter, Stock Fiction, which is now part of Beautiful, Daring, Stupid. She is also the host of the podcast Talk Fiction with Meg Oolders, where she explores storytelling, craft, and creative life with fellow writers.
Her official debut novel, See Dot Smile, will be published by Empress Editions on September 15, 2026. She is a longtime wife, a devoted mother—and always a writer.
“There’s a timeless Judy Blume–like honesty in the way Meg Oolders’ coming-of-age story unfolds—tender, raw, and startlingly true.”— Beth Lisogorsky, author of You Need to Watch This and So This Is Happening (2027)
