Leonard Mlodinow received his PhD in theoretical physics from the University of California, Berkeley, was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Max Planck Institute, and a faculty member at the California Institute of Technology. His previous books have been translated into more than thirty languages and have sold more than two million copies. They include the best sellers The Grand Design and A Briefer History of Time (both with Stephen Hawking), Subliminal (winner of the PEN/E. O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award), The Drunkard’s Walk (a New York Times Notable Book), as well as Elastic, The Upright Thinkers, Feynman’s Rainbow, Euclid’s Window, Emotional, and Stephen Hawking: A Memoir of Friendship and Physics. He also wrote for the television series MacGyver and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
