Aubrey Graham
Aubrey Graham holds a PhD in cultural anthropology from Emory University and is a Thoroughbred trainer located in Lansing, New York, with nearly forty years of riding experience. She owns and runs Kivu Sporthorses & Training, LLC (dba AP Graham Eventing), a Thoroughbred-forward training center and sales program where she focuses on restarting horses off the track and tackling difficult retraining cases (previously restarted elsewhere) from around the country.
In 2023, she opened “Thoroughbred School,” an in-house and virtual program that helps train students how to ride and handle Thoroughbreds. Aubrey has competed in the Retired Racehorse Project’s Makeover since 2018 in disciplines ranging from eventing, dressage, and show jumpers to fox hunting. In 2024, she developed and inaugurated Stall 13 Inc., a nonprofit that focuses on getting challenging-case Thoroughbreds on a better track. Stall 13 addresses horses immediately retired from racing as well as those who have found themselves in tough spots during their second careers.
